For thousands of years people have attempted to understand, get closer and experience aspects of the Divine. And many have being successful in doing so even within the limitation of the physical body. The challenge we face is how to transform life from having moments of Divine inspiration to a life in which every moment is Divine. It might sound impossible now, but knowing it is possible and taking the first step in this direction can change the way we experience life forever.
What would it take for me to get closer to God? What am I willing to do in order to experience It? Those questions and others like them have been asked by millions of people for thousands of yours. In fact, one of the main roles of religions is to provide answers, and help people find ways of getting closer to God. Religious rituals such as lighting candles Friday night and going to church Sunday morning help us feel God’s present around and in us. And if you ever experience this feeling, you will want to feel it again and again because there is nothing quite like it.
Different spiritual schools attempted to achieve similar results by applying meditation techniques and adapting conscious way of thinking. They see the role of the Divine in the universe differently from the way organized religions see it; none the less, the spiritual student would quiet his or her mind in order to experience that energy which comes from the Source of All Things. Not surprising, they too experience feelings “out of this world”. And they too seek to experience it again and again because there is nothing quite like it.
What ever we do, we all seek the same thing which is to connect with something bigger than ourselves. For many of us (and if you read this you are included) getting up in the morning, eating breakfast, going to school or to work, coming home, watching TV and going to sleep is just not enough. We want more out of life. We want to fine and experience a deeper meaning to life. We want the Divine to be a part of our daily life. We want to experience It, that It will be a part of us, a part of who we are. It will be great if we could only transform our lives from experiencing “holy moments” to living a holy life.
Well, there is a way to experience God, Love and Life in the most beautiful way, a way that will make every second of it holy. One way to experience God is to experience Love since God is Love. Another way to experience God is to experience Life since God is Life. So be Love and be Life. BE INLOVE WITH LIFE. When you live in a state of mind where you are in-love with life, you experience Life from the prospective of the Divine. When you come to believe that everything that has ever happened to you was a blessing (even if only a blessing in disguised), you can fall in love with Life again. Remember that much of what you are experiencing in life comes from the way you look at events in your life. So change your prospective, feel and be Love more and more during your daily life, not only when great moments come. Instead of finding yourself in the midst of endless arguments and disagreements, see the beauty in little things in life. Experiencing Love is experiencing God, so go, have fun, love and enjoy Life. Share your love, your blessing with others and you will experience another aspect of the Divine.
