The light in our souls naturally gravitates towards God’s light. If we follow our souls, we will find God. The law of gravity states that the object with the smaller mass gravitates towards the object with the larger mass. This is why the moon gravitates toward Earth, and Earth gravitates toward the sun. And this is why the soul gravitates toward God. This means that even if you stayed in bed all day doing nothing, you were still be getting closer to God just by the virtue of being who you are. The down side to staying in bed all day (yes, there is one) is that it is a very, very, slow road to take. It would take countless life times for the soul to achieve its goal of experiencing and sharing the Love it is. By choosing to act lovingly the soul actively increases the speed in which it gravitates toward God.
So there is no need to change who we are, only to be able to recognize and, discriminate between what our souls want and what our bodies and minds are after. Most people spend their lives worrying about the needs of the body and the mind, not the soul. And it is only at the moment of death that they realize their assent is the soul, not the body. Once this is understood, it is also understood that life was largely wasted worrying about the temporary body, instead of caring for the wishes of the eternal soul.
Knowing that life is about discovering and living in harmony with the soul, makes this day a perfect day to start looking deep inside in order to reconnect with your soul. The beauty of this road is that following your soul means looking inside, not outside. All the love and joy in life are inside of you to discover. And once you discover and follow your soul, you are sure to find God. So go ahead, search, find, and enjoy gravity.
